Bike Cleveland encourages you to BIKE THE VOTE with us on Tuesday, October 9.Regardless of your political views, join us for early voting alongside other Cleveland-area cyclists. We will meet at the Free Stamp at Willard Park at 6pm and ride together as a group to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections at 6:30pm.

The purpose of the ride is to communicate to the general public that the cycling community is a powerful voting constituency. Voting together as a group, we will demonstrate to local politicians the importance of supporting policies that create safe, stress-free biking environments. This is a nonpartisan event.

Voters must bring identification to the polls in order to verify identity. Identification may include any one of the following:
-A current and valid photo identification card (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
-A military identification
-A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address.

If you are not currently registered to vote, please consider registering to vote at http://boe.cuyahogacounty.us/en-US/voter-registration.aspx. The Board of Elections also said you can register at the polls on October 9th. The ride to the Board of Elections is about 2 miles.

Following voting, local cycling group the Taco Tuesday Coalition of Cleveland will lead a bike ride to the Lion on Lorain, 12703 Lorain Avenue for gourmet tacos and cash bar. The ride to Taco Tuesday will be about 7 miles.

Share the ride and let us know you are BIKING THE VOTE on Facebook.
