Sylvia’s Ride 2016
A ride in memory of those tragically killed on our streets while riding their bikes. The name is in honor of Sylvia Bingham, who was struck and killed by a truck while biking to work in 2009.
- Where: Assemble in the open lot kitty corner across the intersection of W 11th & Fairfield from Loop Coffee Shop
- When: Saturday, September 17th @ 11am
- Route: Ride towards downtown across the Lorain-Carnegie heading to the location of Sylvia’s white bike on Prospect and East 21st. The ride will conclude at Perk Park (E.12th and Chester) with a picnic lunch courtesy of Alex Nosse and Joy Machines Bike Shop. If you would like to contribute a dish to the picnic you can but it is not necessary.
- RSVP on the Facebook Event
These rides are a tragic reminder that we still have work to do making our streets safer for all road users; especially the more vulnerable users on bikes and on foot.
