Lakewood: 3 Days of Bikes!

Lakewood has a lot happening this week in terms of bikes during a 3 day streak Wednesday through Friday. You have the chance to head to a public meeting about upcoming bike lanes, an opportunity to meet a local author, and finish out the week at a Bike Lakewood social!

Here is the breakdown:

Wednesday, March 21st: Public Meeting: Discussing Biking and Bike Infrastructure

Join the Lakewood Department of Planning and Development, Bike Cleveland, and Bike Lakewood at Around the Corner to discuss bike lanes in Lakewood and future plans to add connectivity. Please come support the city as they work to improve bike connections and infrastructure in Lakewood.

6:00 – 8:00PM @ 18616 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107 MAP

Thursday, March 22nd: A Path Through Ohio: Meet author Mark Looney at Lakewood Public Library

“While many cycle touring books undertake the monumental challenge of riding across America by bicycle, in A Path through Ohio, Mark Looney takes on the less lofty goal of exploring the state of Ohio by bike. Looney, who rode across the country in 1983, pours the wisdom of a thirty-five year veteran cyclist into his exciting and yet less intimidating ride from shore to shore on the Ohio to Erie Trail.” Event Details

Friday, March 23rd: Bike Lakewood Spring Social

Join Bike Lakewood for an evening of pizza and beer (they will have non-alcoholic beverages, too) at member business Spin Bike Shop. Get to know other cyclists in Lakewood, talk about ways to advocate for safer cycling, and hear about what they have been planning for 2018!
