TIGER Connection Updates: April 2020

While you have been sheltering indoors, construction crews have been busy working outdoors on several trails and connections. These are projects related to the Re-Connecting Cleveland Tiger Grant Projects that will be bringing significant changes to the trail network by 2021.

3 different projects are underway right now, and here is what they look like as of the end of April:

Red Line Greenway near Franklin Avenue | This is where the end of the Red Line Greenway (also under construction) will meet with Franklin Avenue, and continue down it to connect to the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Trail at Columbus Avenue. When the Irishtown Bend redevelopment happens, this will also link into trails within that as well. If you are not familiar with this particular area, here is a Google Maps link to orient you.

Whiskey Island Connector & Wendy Park Bridge | These are 2 projects that connect, happening at once. One is a long trail that will finally connect Edgewater Park to Wendy Park, and the other is a bridge over the railroad tracks to connect to the Cleveland Foundation Centennial Lake Link Trail on the other side. Then, when Irishtown Bend is redeveloped, this will all connect to the sites mentioned above. Again, if you are not familiar with this particular area, here is a Google Maps link to orient you.
