“I was biking down Bridge on my way back from the east side late at night. About 2 blocks from my home, at 45th & Bridge, I heard a fast-approaching car behind me. I looked over my shoulder and saw a car flying through the 44th & Bridge intersection, taking a wide turn into the oncoming traffic lane. I quickly got myself up on the tree lawn, just as the car slingshotted back into the lane where I had been moments before. The driver overcorrected again, and swerved their car back and forth down Bridge at about 50mph until I saw them turn onto a street in the distance.

Not long after, a curb extension appeared at 44th & Bridge, which I was very pleased with. It’s better that the next reckless driver ends up hitting a planter than a person.”
