20 Miles of Smiles Black History Month Edition

Join us for a SundayFunday 20 Miles of Smiles on Sunday February 19, 2023 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Meeting at the Cleveland Public Library Langston Hughes Branch we will travel the neighborhoods of Glenville, Hough, Fairfax and Buckeye-Shaker in honor and celebration of those who have capsulated Cleveland’s Black History. During this ride participants will have the ability to stop at various “iconic destinations” that have influenced Cleveland’s historical landscape mapped via the Cleveland Civil Rights Trail.

  • Start location: Cleveland Public Library – Langston Hughes Branch | 10200 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106
  • Date: Sunday, February 19th
  • Meet up: 12:00 pm
  • Roll out: 12:30 pm
  • Total distance: 20 miles
  • Estimated mph: 12-13
  • This 3-4 hour bike ride is considered challenging due to various elevations and traveling roadways
