Today, on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, we stand with Families for Safe Streets and advocates across the United States to remember the lives lost on our roads and to call for action.
As we mark World Day of Remembrance, we remember those lost and injured in traffic crashes, we call on decision makers to make the courageous decisions needed to protect our residents. We need leaders to commit to reduce speeds, prioritize safe road designs, and ensure our streets reflect the needs of everyone—including those of us walking and biking.

About Families for Safe Streets
Northeast Ohio Families for Safe Streets (NEO FSS) is a group for people who have lost loved ones or who have been injured in a crash by aggressive, reckless, or careless driving, which is often behavior enabled by dangerous street design. The group is designed to provide a community of support for victims and loved ones. Families for Safe Streets is a chapter of a national organization that originated in New York City.
NEO FSS will work collaboratively to end traffic violence in Greater Cleveland by changing laws, enforcement, street design, public attitudes and traffic culture to make our streets safe and equitable for all road users, while supporting those who are survivors.
