Call To Action: More Separated Bike Lanes
The City of Cleveland recently installed delineators on the buffered section of the Detroit Avenue bike lane around the W. 30s. We are calling direct attention to this project and insist the city protect more bike lanes this year. On Wednesday, August 14th we are asking folks to meet us along this bike lane to show our support for the protection and pressure the city for more. This will look similar to a human protected bike lane protest that other cities have done, but we are highlighting a bike lane that was just protected.
There are 2 ways to get involved:
Monday 8/12 from 4:30-6pm: Sign-making at Bike Cleveland’s office. (Directions)
We’ll have posterboards and markers! Come help us make signs for the action.
Wednesday 8/14 5pm-6pm: Bike lane action at W. 33rd & Detroit. (Directions)
Help us line the bike lane & show support for more protected bike lanes in Cleveland!
