Burning River Rides

Bike Cleveland volunteers have put together two rides this weekend focused on Cleveland’s rise towards a green city on a blue lake.

On Saturday, July 21st at 4:30PM, Bike Cleveland volunteers will host a short ride around several west side neighborhoods to highlight local sustainability projects, and with some luck run into some Garden Walkers. The ride will begin at the W. 65th St. EcoVillage Rapid Station and will visit community gardens and orchards on the near west side. Riders may choose to end at the Rapid station or to continue on to Burning River Fest.

The following day, Sunday, July 22nd, at 12:00PM, the celebration of urban greening will continue with an east side ride. The ride will begin and end at Washington Park Reservation and will visit current and developing urban agriculture projects. Those who would like to continue to Burning River Fest can travel together to the E. 55th St. Rapid station at the conclusion of the ride.

Both rides will begin with a quick bike safety check, and helmet use is encouraged. For more information, please contact Julia Schnell at julia.h.schnell@gmail.com.
