CLE Candidate Mobility Questionnaire – Responses
Find out where the Mayoral and Council Candidates stand on biking, walking and transit issues
Biking and walking are political issues. When you choose to get around by foot or by bike, you are addressing critically important issues: personal health, air quality, oil dependence, economics, infrastructure, and safety.
Each election cycle, we want to make sure that candidates understand issues that are important to constituents. Every two weeks 13 people on average are seriously injured or killed on Cleveland roadways. In 2020 there were 74 traffic related fatalities. So, in the case of street safety, improvements to our built environment and what leadership priorities are will literally save lives.
In partnership with Clevelanders for Public Transit, Bike Cleveland is providing all Cleveland City Council and Mayoral Candidates an opportunity to talk directly about active transportation and mobility issues so voters can make informed decisions when casting their vote.
See how candidates responded to our questions about mobility below by clicking on the candidates name.
Please note we will add additional questionnaires responses as we receive them from candidates, so check back often. If you are candidate or candidate representative, you can contact us if you have any questions about the questionnaire.
Don’t forget Tuesday, November 2nd is election day for all Cleveland mayoral and council candidates. Details on voting here. Early voting began on October 7th, details on early voting here.

This is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) educational questionnaire. Because Bike Cleveland is recognized as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, we cannot endorse or oppose any candidate for elected public office. We have invited all candidates who have filed petitions with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections at this time and will publish all responses we receive verbatim.
