Council Bike Ride: Ward 6
On July 18th, Cleveland City Councilman Blaine Griffin and Bike Cleveland took a tour of the Ward 6 neighborhood on two wheels as part of our ongoing Professional Development rides with city leaders. The ride included neighborhood stakeholders from Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc., Fairfax Renaissance Development, and Union Miles Development Corporation as well as Cleveland City Planning Commission and Ohio Department of Transportation staff.
These professional development rides help transportation professionals and public officials understand the issues people biking and walking face in our communities. Our goal is to improve the quality/connectivity of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure by educating professionals, sharing best practices, and providing real world experience on local facilities from the perspective of people who walk and bike.
Thanks to Councilman Blaine Griffin and all the neighborhood stakeholders who joined us in exploring how we can make Ward 6 a better place to bike and walk.
