Bike Cleveland is excited to welcome Connor Brentar onto our team! He joins us as a Cleveland Foundation summer intern and will be supporting a myriad of advocacy & education projects. Connor is attending Cleveland State to obtain his Masters of Urban Planning & Development and is also President of the CSU chapter of the American Planning Association.

Name: Connor Brentar
Pronouns: He/Him

Do you have a favorite local trail?: I have a few favorite trails in the Cleveland area. The one that I go on the most would probably be the Red Line Greenway, but I also really enjoy going on the Towpath between the Flats and Harvard.

What inspired you to join Bike Cleveland: I am in school for urban planning at the moment and my greatest passion within planning is increasing transportation equity. I see Bike Cleveland as being an integral part of that issue, so I am very happy to have been given this opportunity!

What are the top 5 bands right now on your playlist?: My favorite band for the past year or so has been Hippo Campus. Right now, I also listen to a lot of Wallows, Spill Tab, Snail Mail, and Glass Animals.

Last book you read?: One of the books that I read earlier this year was Dreaming in Cuban by Cristina Garcia. It is basically an anthology about a Cuban family as they deal with changes relating to the revolution there. I would highly recommend it!

What does your perfect weekend in Cleveland look like?: My Friday night would involve going out with friends, then I would want to spend either Saturday or Sunday exploring the city, by foot or bike. I really love going to new neighborhoods that I haven’t been to much and looking at the architecture.
