New Bike Lanes, Renewed Bike Lanes

We are pleased to report that there are NEW bike lanes on Madison Avenue from West Boulevard to W117th Street. Fresh, smooth asphalt awaits you as well. This includes the railway bridge underpass – a notoriously hazardous section that used to be a menagerie of repeated patch repairs.

Along with these new lanes comes the scheduled standard re-striping of W41st and W44th (both due any day now) and Lakeshore Boulevard, which is going to get a far more durable paint applied: Thermoplastic. Later in the year, W41st, W44th, and Detroit Avenue should also see the Thermoplastic treatment – – which should last much longer than what has been used previously.
