New trail funding, an HD camera protects riders, Safe Routes and Vision Zero for Cleveland cyclists

CLEVELAND – The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) announced more than $40 million in funding for projects that will improve air quality and give residents in its 5-county region more transportation choices.
While the biggest award, $14 million, goes to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority for new compressed natural gas fueled buses, $11 million is going to four bikeway/greenway trails.
The Lake Link Trail, an offshoot of the new section of the Scranton Road Towpath Trail, will construct 1.2 miles of trail along an abandoned rail line in the Flats.
