May Is Bike Month!
May is National Bicycle Month, and along with the League of American Bicyclists we urge you to get outside and spend some quality time on your bike!

All Month: Gohio Commute CAR(bon) FREE and Bike Month Challenge | More Details | The Gohio Commute Challenge is BACK beginning May 1! Weekly and overall prizes are available, and up to FOUR non-SOV trips eligible! Get Ready, Get Set – Go CAR(bon) FREE.
May 1st: Buckeye Better Streets Kickoff Social | More Details | Join the Better Streets Committee of Buckeye on Wednesday, May 1st for a chance to be part of the movement for change in your neighborhood. Come meet fellow bike advocates working for safer streets and learn how to get involved in Buckeye!
May 4th: RiverSweep Morgana Run Trail | More Details | We’re partnering with Canalway Partners and The Boy Scouts of America Lake Erie Council to clean up an eastern section of the Morgana Run Trail. Bike Cleveland and Canalway Partners will supply the tools, gloves & garbage bags, just bring yourself and a friend!
May 15th: Ride of Silence | More Details | Join people from across Greater Cleveland (and the world) for the most important event of the year. Local cyclists will join others across the globe in a silent slow-paced ride in honor of vulnerable road users who have been injured or killed on our public roadways.
May 17th: Bike to Work Day! | More Details | Celebrate National Bike to Work Day in May at multiple locations! We will be on top of the Detroit-Superior Bridge (eastbound bike lane), and UGO will be in University Circle at Euclid & E. 100th. Yes – you can do more than one if that works for your route and schedule! We even have hybrid and work-from-home folks that ride out in the morning to enjoy the hot coffee and delicious snacks we have ready for bicycle commuters on this celebration of two-wheeled mobility.
May 18th: Pedal for Prizes | More Details | Old Brooklyn Pedal for Prizes is back for it’s 14th year!! Join us for one heckuva ride Saturday, May 18, 2024 during Cleveland Bicycle Month. Win great prizes, including brand new bicycles, simply by exploring local businesses and other points of interest while riding your bicycle throughout Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood.
