Ride to Meet the Trucks and Use Bike Lakewood’s Bike Valet

Meeting the Trucks bike valet

Meet the Trucks returns to Lakewood Park on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Bike Lakewood is excited to once again provide a free bike valet service to help families ride to the event.

Meet the Trucks is one of Lakewood’s most popular family events, and parking is expected to be limited, so families are encouraged to consider biking to the event when possible. Riding to the event is a great way to avoid parking challenges and make biking part of the experience.

Free Bike Valet Details

Bike Valet Location: Next to the Women’s Pavilion at Lakewood Park
Hours: Supervised and available throughout the event, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Cost: Free

Please note that bike valet capacity is limited and will operate on a first come, first served basis depending on available space.

All bicycles must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. when the event concludes.

Meet the Bikes

In addition to bike valet, Bike Lakewood will also have a small “Meet the Bikes” area near the valet and information table.

If your family has been curious about biking together but isn’t sure where to start, this is a great opportunity to see some of the many ways families ride.

Display bikes may vary throughout the event, so there may be different bikes to see at different times. Some bikes visitors may see include:

  • Electric and non-electric cargo bikes
  • Bikes with child seats
  • Bike trailers for carrying kids or gear
  • Tandem bikes
  • Miss Emily’s Book Bike

Learn More About Safe Routes to School

Families are also encouraged to stop by the Bike Lakewood information table, located next to the bike valet area, to learn more about the Safe Routes to School initiatives supported by Bike Lakewood.

We’ll have information about programs and projects including:

  • Hike & Bike – helping students in preschool through twelfth grade walk, bike, roll, and scooter to school together safely
  • Walk Audits – identifying barriers and opportunities along school travel routes
  • Intersection Audits – gathering observations to improve safety at crossings near schools

Whether you already bike as a family, are thinking about trying it, or simply want to learn more about improving walking and biking conditions for kids, we’d love to meet you.

We hope to see lots of bikes at Meet the Trucks this year!
