Ride for Sylvia – 2020
Join friends of Sylvia Bingham, who was tragically killed riding her bicycle to work on September 15th 2009, for a memorial bike ride to promote safe streets.
Cyclists will gather at 9:30am on Sunday, September 13th at the corner of W. 11th and Fairfield (near Loop Coffee) in Tremont, near where Sylvia lived. The ride will roll out at 9:45am towards E. 21st and Prospect, where those on the ride will gather briefly for a remembrance and placing of flowers. Following the placing of flowers and remarks we will ride back to the starting location as a group. Total distance will be about 5 miles.
All participants will be required to wear a mask, if you don’t have a mask one will be provided , and are also required to practice social distancing.
