Ride for Sylvia – 2021

Join friends of Sylvia Bingham, who was tragically killed riding her bicycle to work on September 15th 2009, for a memorial bike ride to promote safe streets.

Cyclists will gather at 9:30am on Saturday, September 18th at the corner of W. 11th and Fairfield (near the bike box at the South Side) in Tremont, near where Sylvia lived. The ride will roll out at 9:45am towards E. 21st and Prospect, where those on the ride will gather briefly for a remembrance and placing of flowers. Following the placing of flowers and remarks we will ride back to the starting location as a group. Total distance will be about 5 miles.

All participants will be required to wear a mask, if you don’t have a mask one will be provided , and are also required to practice social distancing.
