2021 Bike Cleveland Fundo Recap

On August 29^th over 1,000 bicyclists participated in the 8^th annual Bike Cleveland Fundo powered by Knabe Law Firm. The ride is Bike Cleveland’s biggest fundraising event of the year and donations from riders and event sponsors help Bike Cleveland continue to advocate for safe streets through advocacy and education.

This year’s event looked a little different than previous years as we took precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. But even with the changes riders had a great time exploring some of the new and old trails and bikeways. Here are few memorable quotes from our follow-up rider survey:

“I’ve been riding for years and hoping to get my son a bit more in to it over those years. He was interested in the ride this year and wanted to ride my Detroit Bikes 3 speed because of it’s more upright riding position. I thought he would be miserable climbing out of the valley several times on that 3 speed, but he ended up loving it. The Fundo might be -the- ride that inspires other rides and a love of cycling.” – Fundo Rider

Without them serving snacks and cheering at the rest stops or getting you checked-in, or waking up at 5am to help set-up at Edgewater the Fundo wouldn’t happen.
