1st Annual Bike to the Ballpark.

Mark your calendars this bike month for the Cleveland’s first annual Bike to Ballpark on Sunday, May 18th, 2014. Bike Cleveland is proud to partner with the Cleveland Indians, Century Cycles and Nano Brew on this exciting first annual bike to Ballpark event.

Game Details: Cleveland Indians vs. Oakland Athletics, game time is 1:05 p.m.

First 200 cyclists guaranteed valet parking on Gateway Plaza and a complementary bike inspection provided by Century Cycles, Bike Cleveland and support from the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op.

The Indians have provided two discounted ticket options for cyclists riding to the game.

Group rides to the Ballpark

Bike Cleveland’s Family Friendly Ride at Nano Brew.

Join us at Nano Brew (1859 W. 25th) before the game to grab bite and participate in bike related festivities, including the blender bike smoothies, temporary Bike CLE tattoos for the kids, and more. Doors open at 11am, and the ride over the Lorain Carnegie Bridge begins at 12:15pm.

Neighborhood rides to the ballpark (updated May 15th) 

  • Lakewood: Spin Bike shop,  14515 Madison Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107, Ride leaves At 11am. Contact Spin Bike Shop at (216) 521-7746
  • Cleveland-East: League Park 6601 Lexington Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44103, Ride leaves at 11am. Contact Bob Polk from Bob’s Bike Tours at (440) 681-8262.
  • Kamm’s/Westpark/Fairview Park:  Marc’s, 17400 Lorain Avenue, Meet up at 9:15AM and leave at 9:30AM to head to the Bike Cleveland Pre-Tribe Social and for the Game to follow. Info here
  • Heights Bicycle coalition: Meeting at Lee Road entrance of Cain Park at 11am, leave at 11:15. This is esp for people who purchased the package that includes the pre-game picnic
  • East Side Suburbs: Ride from the North Chagrin Reservation to progressive Field. More info here Two starting times:

• 9:15 AM for a “B” group (approximate 40 mile route)
• 10:15 AM for a “C” group (approximate 20 mile route)
