NOACA is updating it’s bicycle maps for Medina and Lorain counties, and they need YOUR input to help determine the best routes through the regions. Data from actual riders is critical to making sure the recommendations and ratings make sense for REAL riders using REAL roads and trails on a regular basis. It also helps balance the mix based on cyclists of different abilities, as this is taken into consideration when you make your recommendations. The maps, once updated and complete, show the bike network in each county and identify categories, such as bike lanes, trails, and connectors to help cyclists choose appropriate routes for their abilities. These printed maps are widely distributed, and the finished product looks like this Cuyahoga County version.
These meetings are open house style, so you can stop by even if you can’t attend the whole meeting. The important part is that you participate and share your knowledge of the routes that you ride.
There are 2 meetings, one for each region – with convenient evening hours:
Medina County Bike Map Meeting (Co-hosted by Friends of Wadsworth Trails)
Date: Monday, Feb. 12

Lorain County Bike Map Meeting (Co-hosted by Bike Elyria)
Date: Thursday, Feb. 15
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Place: Elyria High School Dining Room, 601 Middle Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035 MAP
Note: Participants should plan to park in the large lots on the west side of the school, off West Avenue, enter through the archway, and use “Entrance N.” West Avenue is one block west of Middle Avenue.
