May is National Bike Month!
May is National Bicycle Month, and along with the League of American Bicyclists we urge you to get outside and spend some quality time on your bike!

Multiple Dates: Slow Roll Cleveland | More Details | With 3 rides in May, and a schedule that runs the rest of the summer, make your Mondays shine with Cleveland’s largest group ride!
All Month: Gohio Commute CAR(bon) FREE and Bike Month Challenge | More Details | Join NOACA’s “CAR(bon) FREE Challenge”, with a special emphasis on cycling to celebrate National Bicycle Month in May! All non-car (SOV) destination trips (work, school, shopping) logged in Gohio Commute will count, and you can record up to 4 trips a day! Weekly prizes awarded through random drawings and overall first, second and third place winners.
Multiple Dates: Better Streets Cleveland | More Details | Join the Better Streets Committees across town for a chance to be part of the movement for change in your neighborhood. Come meet fellow bike advocates working for safer streets and learn how to get involved in your neighborhood! Bonus – look for rides and fix-a thons on the calendar below!
April 30th: Changing Lanes | More Details | Cleveland’s transportation network has seen incredible changes over its 200+ year history, and the future holds even more. Join us at the Happy Dog for an evening with local experts sharing an entertaining and educational look back into what the archives hold – and a peek into what the coming years will bring.
May 3rd: RiverSweep Morgana Run Trail | More Details | we’re partnering with Canalway Partners, Slavic Village Development, Lake Erie Council of Scouts, and the Cleveland Tree Coalition to clean up sections of the Morgana Run Trail. Bike Cleveland and Canalway Partners will supply the tools, gloves & garbage bags, just bring yourself and a friend!
May 10th: Cranksgiving in May | More Details | We’ve all heard the news regarding our local food banks. Since there is a need, the bicycling community is stepping up. Just like Christmas in July, we’re having Cranksgiving in May.
May 21st: Ride of Silence | More Details | CANCELED/WEATHER | Join people from across Greater Cleveland (and the world) for the most important event of the year. Local cyclists will join others across the globe in a silent slow-paced ride in honor of vulnerable road users who have been injured or killed on our public roadways.
May 16th: Bike to Work Day! | More Details | Celebrate National Bike to Work Day in May at multiple locations!
May 17th: Pedal for Prizes | More Details | Old Brooklyn Pedal for Prizes is back for it’s 15th year!! Win great prizes, including brand new bicycles, simply by exploring local businesses and other points of interest while riding your bicycle throughout Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood.
