Request for Proposals: Strategic Plan and Equity Training

Bike Cleveland is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to assist in updating our strategic plan. This update is crucial to align our organizational goals with evolving community needs and to ensure that equity is central to all aspects of our work. Additionally, we seek a consultant team who can incorporate board and staff training on centering equity principles in our work.

With a vision of creating a more inclusive and accessible cycling environment where every person is safe biking and walking, Bike Cleveland is committed to advancing equity in all facets of our organization. This strategic plan update represents a pivotal opportunity to integrate equity into our core strategies, programs, and partnerships, fostering a more just and equitable cycling community.

We invite experienced consultants with a proven track record in strategic planning, equity training, and communications to submit proposals outlining their approach, methodology, timeline, and budget for this project. The selected consultant will work closely with Bike Cleveland’s leadership, staff, and board members to co-create a strategic roadmap that reflects our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Timeline

Proposals Due: March 24th, 2025
Telephone/Online Interviews: April 1-4, 2025
Proposal Selected: April 25th, 2025
Project Kickoff: May-June 2025
Project Timeline: Anticipated 6 month timeline from project kick-off

Proposal Submissions

Proposals should be prepared in a straightforward manner to satisfy the requirements of the RFP. Please include:

• Description of how the consultant will undertake the scope of work.
• Description of the consultant’s qualifications and relevant experience.
• Resumes/CVs of the consultant team (if applicable).
• Proposed timeline and budget.
• References from at least three clients for similar projects.
