Response to anti-bike broadcast on Mike Trivisonno Show 9.13
On Thursday, Setpember 13th during the Mike Trivisonno show on WTAM 1100, radio personality, and show namesake, Mike Trivisonno broadcast some anti-bicycle sentiments that were inappropriate and intolerable. In response Bike Cleveland drafted a letter to Clear Channel, the owners of the station, asking for a public apology and dedicated billboard space and air time for public awareness related to bike safety. We will let you know when we hear a response from Clear Channel, and if any action is needed from area cyclists.
UPDATE: Following up from our letter Gary Mincer, President/ Market Manager, Cleveland at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. He expressed his apologies for the show and said that today (September 26th, 2012) Mike Trisionno will issue an apology on his show. They also offered free airtime and production help in putting together a radio PSA that will run for three-months.
