VeloSano: Bike to Cure
VeloSano is a movement that will unite an entire community to help one another in the fight against cancer through biking. It doesn’t matter if you’re an avid cyclist or a casual biker, VeloSano will have a ride option for you. VeloSano features One-Day Rides of 25-miles, 48-miles, 62-miles (metric century) and 100-miles, or Two-Day Ride options totaling 173-miles and 230-miles, including overnight accommodations in Erie, PA. An estimated 1,000 Volunteers are needed to support Riders and event weekend activities. Please consider volunteering for one of the jobs listed below. To register, click the job-specific link, select “Next Step” and follow the remaining instructions. Vehicle Driver – Drive box trucks with supplies to rest stops as directed or drive support and gear vans along course as directed. All drivers are subject to a DMV background check and shift times may range from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. More information to follow regarding locations and training. Course Marshal – Assist Riders by directing them on where to go and making them aware of dangerous areas at the assigned post along the route. Yell words of encouragement. Please note that once a shift has achieved the needed number of volunteers, it will be removed as an option. Additionally, after registering, all volunteers have the ability to create their own VeloSano fundraising page. Details will be emailed to you at the completion of volunteer registration. On event weekend, all volunteers will receive an official Volunteer t-shirt & credential, complimentary parking as well as a Volunteer meal.
