Your Bike Weekend

Hey cyclists! There’s a lot of bike-related events and activities going on this weekend.

Wednesday

2 Wheels & Heels Ladies Bike Night: Local bike hero Crank-Set Rides attracted nearly fifty female cyclists and drew media attention at its 2 Wheels & Heels inaugural ride last month. This month’s edition of the ladies-only ride will hit local hot spots and conclude with a demo on how to change a flat bike tire.

Saturday

STOMP (Summit Tour of Metro Parks): STOMP is a fundraiser for Citizens for Metro Parks, and is the only annual event that benefits the Summit County Metro Parks. Take a 10-, 25-, or 63-mile SAG-supported bicycle ride exploring some truly amazing natural areas. As this is a fundraiser, costs do apply.

Jak of All Trades Fest: Jak Prints is hosting Jak of All Trades Fest on Saturday, and event includes some pretty rad bike aspects. Pedal Republik of Cleveland is playing bicycle polo all day. Crank-Set Rides is leading a group ride to Jak of All Trades Fest from Joy Machines Bike Shop in the morning. An RSVP is required to attend the Jak of All Trades Fest, but not to go on the group ride.

The Baldwin Wallace College Bike Co-op Bash: Baldwin Wallace College’s Bike Co-op is having a shindig for students to learn about what the co-op has to offer, as well as meet other cyclists, eat good food, and go for a mini-mass ride.

Saturday & Sunday

The Manatoc Experience: Check out Northeast Ohio’s largest mountain biking event. This two-day festival features clinics, open rides, group rides, races, contests, and bike manufacturer demos. Additional details, including an interactive event schedule, are located on 331 Promotions’ website.

Sunday & Monday

Air Show Bike Polo: The guys from Pedal Republik of Cleveland will be holding their annual Labor Day tournament this week. Come down to the South Marginal courts to cheer on the home team, enjoy barbeque, and have an optimal spot to watch some of the air show for free.

Lastly, don’t forget that tomorrow is the deadline to register for the Bike Cleveland Summit to be held on September 10 and 11. Some really phenomenal local cyclists and advocates will be attending. See who by clicking the link above. Join us, and make a difference and contribute to Cleveland’s growing bicycling movement!
