Bike to the Beach Party and Campout 2019

Bike Euclid welcomes all to the Annual Bike to the Beach Party and Campout to celebrate bicycling and our beautiful waterfront in Euclid, Ohio.

Gear up and pedal to the beach pavilion at Kenneth J Sims Park 23131 Lakeshore Blvd, Euclid, OH 44123. Begin from home, organize a group, or join more than 500 cyclists and ride with Cleveland Critical Mass, gathering at Public Square in downtown Cleveland at 6:30pm and pedaling out promptly at 7pm. Arrive, by bike, at the beach by 8:30pm. Sunset is 9:04pm.

If you would like to stage your car at the end of the ride, free parking will be available in the designated lawn area, at 4pm. As a courtesy to other park goers, please do not park in the paved lots closest to the lake and Henn Mansion.

At the end of the ride enjoy free pizza. Beer and softdrinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds and donations going to Bike Euclid. And this year our friends at NOOMA, an organic electrolyte drink company located in Euclid, have generously donated several cases of their trademark beverage. https://drinknooma.com/

We’ll provide the fire, you provide the s’more fixin’s.

For those interested in sleeping overnight on the beach, you may arrive at the park to set up your tent anytime after 4pm. Campers are asked to follow State of Ohio Primitive Camping guidelines and all campers will be required to pay a $5 per camper fee and sign a waiver.

Wait, there’s more! Ride a bike, watch the sunset, sleep under the stars, then awaken to the sounds of Lake Erie, share a potluck breakfast at the beach, enjoy sunrise Yoga with Euclid Councilwoman Christine McIntosh, and try Stand Up Paddleboard with our friend Lynne Nagy and UltraMissions, Inc.! https://www.ultramissions.com

We thank the City of Euclid, Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer-Gail, City Council, the Service Department, the Euclid Police Department, and the Euclid Fire Department for their support and assistance with this event.

And in closing, we give a special thanks to our friends at SmithGroup for their award winning Euclid Waterfront Improvement Project, with construction now underway. Learn more at https://www.smithgroup.com/projects/euclid-waterfront-improvements
