CLEVELAND, Ohio – Bicycle advocates are making a late push to insert “protected” bike lanes into the design for Opportunity Corridor, the three-mile boulevard planned for a blighted swath of the city’s East Side that will connect the stub end of I-490 at East 55th Street to East 105th Street in University Circle.

Plans for the $331 million roadway are well along and would be tough to alter, say those close to the project, but that hasn’t stopped the advocates from stepping forward.
