Become a Volunteer!
We have a very small staff, so our power comes from members, volunteers, and cyclists just like you. Make a difference in your local community by giving us a bit of your time each year.

3 Foot Passing Law
“The operator of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle shall pass to the left at a safe distance and shall not again drive to the right until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle. When a motor vehicle overtakes and passes a bicycle, three feet or greater is considered a safe passing distance.”
Bike Lakewood is a resident-led advocacy group for people who bike and walk in Lakewood. Bike Lakewood is a proud chapter of Bike Cleveland.
Bike Lakewood advocates to make our community a place where all people can safely and conveniently ride a bike or walk to a park, school, library, restaurant, grocery store or anywhere else. Lakewood has the potential to become one of the country’s most bicycle and pedestrian friendly communities, but more planning and investment are needed to make riding a bike and walking for recreation and transportation truly accessible to all. Bike Lakewood’s goal is for our community to have a safe and complete active transportation network that works for everyone.
